The Middle Acres website is powered by a real API — the same kind of technology that lets apps and AI assistants talk to each other. You can use an AI tool like Claude Code to browse our inventory, check prices, and even place orders — all by having a conversation.

What You'll Need

1. Your API key — this was included in the welcome email you received after verifying your account. It looks something like ma_abc123...
2. Claude Code — a free AI assistant you can run on your computer. Install it by following the instructions at claude.ai/claude-code

How It Works

Once you have Claude Code running, just paste this into the conversation:

Use the header X-API-Key with my key for all requests.

Available endpoints:
  GET /products - list all beef cuts with pricing
  GET /orders - my order history
  POST /orders - place an order

Start by showing me what's available.

Claude will take it from there — it'll call the API, show you the results in a readable format, and help you place orders if you want.

Don't Have Your API Key?

Check the welcome email that was sent when you verified your account. The subject line is "Welcome to Middle Acres!" and the key is in that email. If you can't find it, contact us at admin@westarkdata.com and we'll get you a new one.

Why Does This Exist?
